Commented Unassigned: Analysis interval setting has no effect? [54178]

It would seem that no matter what I set the analysis interval setting to in the PAL tool, I get 30 even 'slices' in my report?

I tried various values and have attached the resulting outputs:

1) I tried running PAL analysis against 1.blg, perfmon log was ~24 hrs, sampled every 15 seconds; used PAL options:

Analysis interval set to 15 seconds - resulted in:
* Log time Range = 2015.03.31-00:00:04 - 2015.03.31-23:55:03
* analysis interval 47 minutes 50 seconds?
* report output (attached) 1_PAL_ANALYSIS_20150416083148.htm

then

2) I tried running PAL analysis against 1.blg again, perfmon log was ~24 hrs, sampled every 15 seconds; used PAL options:
Analysis interval set to 1 hour - resulted in:
* Log Time Range: = 2015.03.31-00:00:04 - 2015.03.31-23:55:03
* Analysis Interval: 47 Minute(s) 50 seconds?
* report output (attached) 1_PAL_ANALYSIS_20150416104146.htm
-chart still in 30 even increments of ~48 minutes?

Any ideas how to get the analysis to be more refined?

It would also be of value to know how long an alert condition existed. For example in the reports you will an alert for Memory\Available Mbytes less than 5% - however the alert is showing for approx. ~48 minute interval, I know this condition did not exist that long looking at the graph (and perfmon graph) but it would be nice to know from the PAL report how long the condition existed for.

See Discussion topic of "Analysis Interval in PAL 2.7.5 Will Not Use Interval Other Than Auto" for a fix that worked for me.
